Patches
Patches came to BDR with his 8 littermates and momma when he was only a week old. His owner lost the ability to take care of her pets, so a neighbor of the owner was taking care of the animals. However, there were too many animals and the neighbor needed help. Patches has been with us ever since. 6 of his littermates and his mom have found homes. This sweet boy is beyond ready for a home of his own!
Patches is a smart, active boy. He is leash trained, crate trained, neutered, and up-to-date on vaccines. He easily takes his monthly heartworm preventative and rides great in cars.
Patches is over 1 year old, a mixed-breed pup, and he weighs 52 lbs.

Our Story
Big Dog Rescue was founded to serve homeless pets in Central Texas. We are a small, family-operated rescue. We started with the goal of giving pets a place to rest, recover, and find an owner to give them a good life. We encourage responsible pet ownership, and believe it should be accessible to all who want to be good pet owners. Adopting from Big Dog Rescue means adding a vaccinated, healthy, spayed or neutered dog that will make a great addition to your family!
